Track Your Site's Traffic with Page Views
See how much traffic your site is getting, which pages are performing best, and how you compare to previous periods.
The Page Views section gives you a clear picture of how much traffic your site is receiving and which pages are drawing the most visitors. You can review traffic trends over time, compare current performance against a previous period, and filter down to specific types of content — all from one place.
What You Can See
- Your total page views for today, the last 7 days, or the last 30 days — shown as a large number at a glance
- A traffic chart with a comparison line so you can see whether traffic is up or down compared to the equivalent period before
- A ranked list of your top 15 pages by page views for the selected period
- A page type filter to narrow the list to specific content — posts, sections, tag pages, author pages, and more
How to Get to Page Views
- Log in to RebelBoost and select your property from the top of the left sidebar.
- Click Page Views in the left sidebar. The full traffic dashboard will open.
How to Read the Traffic Chart
The chart at the top of the page is your main view of traffic over time.
- The large bold number directly above the chart shows your total page views for the selected period — this is the first number to check.
- Use the time range tabs at the top-right to change the period you are viewing:
- Today — page views so far today, updated every 5 minutes. Compares to the same time window from 7 days ago.
- 7 Day — last 7 days, updated every 15 minutes. Compares to the 7 days before that.
- 30 Day — last 30 days, updated every 15 minutes. No comparison line.
- The solid line on the chart is your current traffic. The dashed grey line is the comparison period — when it appears above your solid line, traffic was higher in that earlier period; when it appears below, your current traffic is outperforming it.
- Hover over any point on the chart to see the exact page view count and time for that moment.
Tip: The chart updates automatically in the background — you do not need to refresh the page to see fresh data.
How to Use the Top Pages List
Scroll below the chart to find your top pages. This table shows the 15 pages that received the most visits during the period you have selected.
- Each row shows the page’s rank, its URL, the type of content it is, and its page view count for the period.
- To narrow the list, click the filter button above the table. A set of content type options will appear: home, post, section, tag, author, and other.
- You can select more than one type at a time. For example, selecting post and section together shows only those two content types ranked by traffic.
- The Top Pages table always reflects the same time period as the chart above — changing the time range tab updates both at once.
Tip: Use the filter to quickly find out how your homepage is performing versus your article pages, or to spot which section of your site is driving the most traffic.
Traffic on the Overview Page
You do not have to go to the Page Views section to get a quick traffic snapshot. Your Overview page — the first page you see when you select a property — includes a traffic chart showing the last 28 days at a glance, with the total view count for that period plotted by day.
This is useful for a quick health check. For deeper analysis, filtering, and comparisons, head to the full Page Views section.
Tips and Things to Know
- The chart and Top Pages always stay in sync. Switching the time range tab updates both the chart and the table together — you never have to refresh or apply the filter separately.
- Data refreshes automatically. The Today view updates every 5 minutes. The 7 Day and 30 Day views update every 15 minutes. You will always see fresh data without doing anything.
- Page Views is part of the Stats feature. If your plan does not include Stats, you will see an upgrade prompt when navigating to this section. Reach out to your account team if you would like to add it.
- Switching between dashboard sections is instant. Navigating between Page Views, Overview, and Live Sessions does not require a full page reload — charts appear quickly as soon as your data loads.
