Are you using Parse.ly to track your content analytics? Well good news! We've recently completed an integration with Parse.ly that allows you to easily connect your RebelMouse system to your Parse.ly instance.
How Do I Set It Up
This is the super easy part! All you need to do is access your stats dashboard inside of RebelMouse, and add your Parse.ly ID. To do this, you simple open up your hamburger menu and find Stats:
Now you can select from the top menu, 3rd Party Analytics:
From here you simply add your ID and click the Add button:
What Is Tracked?
In order to give you as accurate data as possible we track three different types of pages:
- Regular post pages: These are articles that are viewed on your website (mobile, desktop, or tablet)
- AMP pages: These are articles that are viewed in Google's AMP format. AMP pages are generally accessed when a user searches via Google search on a mobile device. Some social networks, like Twitter, will also push users to AMP pages when they click on a link.
- Facebook Instant Articles: These are articles that are viewed in Facebook's Instant Article format. Instant Articles are accessed when a user is browsing in the Facebook app on mobile. Please note that by default, we are only able to track new Instant Article views. If you'd like to track older articles, we would need to run a script to enable that. Please contact your account manager or support@rebelmouse.com if you need that tracking.
And that's it! You're now ready to track your content analytics between RebelMouse and Parse.ly. Happy tracking!
