Social UX for Media layout: how to monetize it

You can easily implement ads between the posts in your Social UX layout.

First, go to the Layout & Design tool in the left nav.

Once there, for example, let's take a look at the Home Page' Social UX set up:

This is how it will look at first if it has no ads whatsoever.

If you select the first Post element on this list, go ahead and click on '+ ADD ELEMENT' on the top left corner.

It will open up a menu with all the elements you can add. Choose 'Ad Tag'.

The new Ad Tag will be positioned at the end of the list of elements, but you can easily move it to the top with drag and drop.

After drag and drop:

You can also easily copy this Ad Tag you implemented, or the Post that you have in the list with the COPY button that's on the top center:

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Fmedia.forumbee.com%2Fi%2F72ebc54a-8d68-428f-9d8e-99bc1e308e88%2F547.png&ho=https%3A%2F%2Fs3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com&s=352&h=348e5198a7b3270c0a7e4de5bd8ce8c8fd8f695587f68a237c356fe810c85a6d&size=980x&c=2785534863 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Fmedia.forumbee.com%252Fi%252F72ebc54a-8d68-428f-9d8e-99bc1e308e88%252F547.png%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fs3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com%26s%3D352%26h%3D348e5198a7b3270c0a7e4de5bd8ce8c8fd8f695587f68a237c356fe810c85a6d%26size%3D980x%26c%3D2785534863%22%7D" caption="" pin_description="" image-library="0" expand=1 photo_credit=""]

You will then have to click on PASTE right next to it, and the copy of the element will be placed right above the one you copied initially:

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Fmedia.forumbee.com%2Fi%2Fdefc15fb-65f4-4db2-8f81-913cc7f555da%2F547.png&ho=https%3A%2F%2Fs3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com&s=822&h=55d0d2ef39e78fd2b3faf45b9d8e02f90b8d52297198a96f60dad7628ed41b3b&size=980x&c=3220623091 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Fmedia.forumbee.com%252Fi%252Fdefc15fb-65f4-4db2-8f81-913cc7f555da%252F547.png%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fs3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com%26s%3D822%26h%3D55d0d2ef39e78fd2b3faf45b9d8e02f90b8d52297198a96f60dad7628ed41b3b%26size%3D980x%26c%3D3220623091%22%7D" caption="" pin_description="" image-library="0" expand=1 photo_credit=""]

With the copy & paste tools as well as the Ad Tag element, you can easily monetize the stream created within the Social UX layout.

An Important Note on Site Quality From Google’s Search Expert

Do you ever wonder if a few typos can impact your site’s search performance? According to Google’s Search Advocate John Mueller, it takes more than just a few grammatical missteps for Google’s crawler to determine your site’s quality.

During a New Year’s Eve Office Hours hangout, Mueller said that if certain portions of a website are deemed low quality, it can negatively impact the site’s search ranking overall. A good example of this is a site that has different language versions within the same domain. If the site has a French-language version that is made up of quality content, but the English translation isn’t up to the same standard, the ranking of the French version of the site could be negatively impacted.
