
It sometimes happens that you post an article on Facebook, and the image doesn't look right. It might be a dizzy elephant (our code for 404 - missing), a wrong image, or no image at all.
This usually happens because of two reasons:
- The post was published with a different header image (or without any). It was shared on Facebook, and it was updated with the right header image later.
- There's a glitch on Facebook's scraping tool. It happens more often than you might think.
This issue can be solved easily by forcing Facebook to clear its cache and scrape the article again. You can do this using the Facebook Debugger here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
Copy-paste your article link, press the Debug button, and then the Scrape Again button 2-3 times.
If you share this article it should look OK. This method can't fix image issues on Facebook posts published before applying the fix, and there's no known method to do that.
