RebelMouse is on a mission to make big data little again. Our robust Stats dashboard features a curated mix of first and third party data, designed to help you easily understand content performance and inform optimizations across distributed channels.

Gauge Content Performance: When you build and host your content on RebelMouse, you can also view the performance of that content in several ways. Beyond just tracking page views, you have access to a deeper layer of metrics, such as shares per social network, the percentage of traffic coming from outside your web property, and the number of community sign-ups resulting from your content. Assess the way people are finding your content, whether from search and social, or from other places on your web property, and use data to determine what content to feature on your owned channels. These metrics allow you to understand the types of content that will increase overall web property performance and help reach your goals.

Use Social Analytics to Dictate Decisions: Measure performance not only from original content created on the platform, but also from content performance on each native social channel. In tandem with original content metrics, social statistics provide a holistic view of your entire content marketing strategy, providing you with the data you need to create, distribute, and promote content.

View Popular Content: The RebelMouse platform consistently measures the performance of your content on site and across channels, comparing values to average performance across a set of time periods. When content is performing above average, RebelMouse will send a “velocity alert" to you and your team, providing an opportunity to add fuel to the fire to get the most out of your content.

Measure Performance Across Time: RebelMouse gives you the opportunity to view and compare data over custom time ranges, focusing in on specific campaign dates or milestones, or looking at broader trends over time. Data collected on you RebelMouse-powered site belongs to you, the Stats dashboard gives you control over how that data is viewed.

Identify Top Contributors and Influencers: Community and audience engagement is at the heart of the RebelMouse platform and its web properties. The Stats dashboard provides data around those creating and sharing content on your web property. Learn which authors and community members are creating the most viral content, or which Twitter accounts are driving the most traffic back to your site. The data is in your hands: reward your community as you'd like!

Maximize Your SEO Wins: The dashboard showcases winning search phrases generating traffic to your site, giving you valuable SEO data in a digestible snapshot. In the spring of 2020, Google let the world know that its Core Web Vitals would become the new benchmark for measuring a site's performance in its search results, known as the page experience update. Fast forward to more than a year later in August 2021 when, after much anticipation, Google's page experience update became official.

Since its rollout, developers have felt the impact of how their publishing platforms stack up against the new standard. Important decisions around the architecture of your site can now make or break your site's performance in the eyes of Google.

Google Says They’re Increasing Communication About Algorithm Updates

If you feel like you’ve been hearing about updates from Google more often, it’s not just in your head. Even though you may know when updates are happening more than before, you still won’t know about every little change that Google makes. In a post about the topic, Sullivan said that Google’s algorithm is updated thousands of times a year. Many of these incremental updates are so small that users and site owners won’t even know they are happening. Together, these minor updates add up to enhance Google’s search experience overall.

New Report: Email Is a ‘Key Tool’ for Building Loyalty

For the first time ever, the Digital News Report authored by Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism has dedicated an entire chapter to news consumption via email. The report analyzed data from thousands of readers of online news across 46 different markets. While the insights around email are focused on news content specifically, the data is useful for any publisher looking to enhance a newsletter strategy or even launch a new campaign. The findings in this year’s report shows that email continues to rise in popularity as an effective way to reach hyper-targeted audiences.

Who Reads Email Newsletters?

While email is not the primary source of traffic for most news outlets, it is more popular in the U.S. than in other countries. This year’s Digital News Report found that 22% of users surveyed in the U.S. use newsletters or email alerts, with almost half of them saying it is their main way of accessing digital news.
